REPORTS TO: Director of Retail & Operations / Sr Warehouse Manager
DIRECTLY SUPPORTS: Retail Team / Visual Team / Sr Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shop Warehouse Operations Associate is a hyper organized and detail oriented gatekeeper for all things behind the scenes that keep our multifaceted showroom running smoothly. You will be setting the organizational tone of the our Retail Back stock area, keeping track of pickups and deliveries, releasing orders, helping with receival of retail product for the shop, building shelving when needed to maximize space effectively. Keeping our shop back stock area safe, secure, neat and clean. UPS and Fed Ex shipping/packing experience a plus
We are also hiring for a Warehouse Associate at our new DTLA warehouse in the Arts District. You will be working directly with our Sr Warehouse Manager receiving, racking, and releasing new furniture orders. Constantly keeping a safe and orderly work environment. You will be working closely with our Logistics department to ensure all orders go out efficiently and without damage. Heavy lifting and moving of furniture and other retail goods on a daily basis.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Help coordinate pickups, deliveries Efficiently manage the storage of shop furniture, Vintage furniture, and Marketplace retail goods Track daily what comes in and goes out of the cottage to keep it organized in order to reduce damages or breakage Be a set of hands and muscle to help move furniture on and off the shop floor with Visual Director Enforce all warehouse rules of compliance with the sales staff and Dept heads Monitor and communicate productivity levels and results to the team, identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with cross functional departments to ensure product is received to company standards and allocate resources as needed Ensure that all warehouse procedures, policies, and safety awareness are thoroughly understood and followed Secure the doors at all times and do not leave delivery drivers or messengers unattended Maintain customer readiness standards; deliver a clean, safe, and neat receiving area and stockroom
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of warehouse / shipping & receiving experience, preferably in a Retail or Furniture environment. Productivity driven, task oriented and a reliable self starter Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively and persist in the face of obstacles Effective time management and prioritizing skills Ability to work well in a team environment and stay flexible and solution based Available to work a full time retail hours schedule Familiarity with technology and basic computer skills. A friendly customer service/ team player attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires long periods of walking, standing, reaching, lifting, crouching, bending, and climbing ladders Frequently move or lift up to 30lbs . This is a PHYSICAL job.
