Job Description : Wrangler 2022 Season
*Priority given to those who can complete a Seasonal FT agreement until 10/31/22*
Primary Purpose of Position
As a Wrangler your job is to create an unforgettable experience for every guest and staff member that visit the barn. Wranglers are responsible for leading guest trail rides, caring for Ranch livestock, and maintaining the barn/corral/arena area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with and riding horses and must have experience in western riding discipline. The successful candidate will have previous guest services experience.
**All Candidates must be prepared to supply Barn Manager with a Western riding video**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guide trail rides with Ranch guests, and oversee that all riders stay safe and expectations are exceeded.
Interact with guests to make each ride is safe, educational and fun.
Participate in barn activities such as stagecoach rides, barn dances, breakfast rides, and rodeos.
Assist in the care of herd health, bringing concerns or issues to the Barn Manager’s attention.
Perform daily chores and ensure tack and supplies are in good working order.
Proactively help coworkers in the barn and throughout the Ranch with day-to-day tasks.
Education/Experience
High school diploma and valid, current Driver’s License.
Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
5+ years of working with horses in any environment (training, trail rides, competition).
Trained and competent in western riding.
Rodeo experience preferred.
Teamster experience preferred.
Basic equine first aid.
Must be able to life up to 50 lbs with little accommodation.
Previous Wrangler experience in a Hospitality area preferred.
