As a writer in Apple’s Video Services group, you will play a pivotal role in crafting how millions of consumers around the world discover and enjoy movies and TV shows. It’s a particularly exciting time to join our team as we are committed to the notion that a story well-told, well-visualized, and well-experienced, on a rapidly expanding digital platform (the Apple TV app), can change the lives of those it reaches for the better. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized writer and editor—with deep experience writing about movies and TV shows—to help craft strategic, customer-facing copy.

Key Qualifications

Deep experience as a writer and editor in the worlds of TV, movies, and pop culture.
Experience managing accelerated timelines and shifting deliverables—while being able to prioritize, communicate tradeoffs, and stay on track.
Experience partnering with various partners (Marketing, Design, UX, Engineering) to tell stories in online environments.
Excellent communication, cross-departmental collaboration, and planning skills with a strict attention to detail.
Experience driving editorial strategy and working hands-on to realize that vision.

Description

We are looking for a writer with deep knowledge of pop culture and a background in entertainment journalism, copywriting, and marketing. The ideal candidate has extensive experience—and a passion for—covering TV shows and movies. In addition to writing and editing strategic, well-informed copy, this person will work with both employees and external freelancers to craft copy for editorial features on the Apple TV app and throughout various marketing channels (including customer-facing emails). Exceptional organizational and project management skills is a requirement. The right person will be a brilliant writer, self-starter, problem solver, and dedicated communicator with a passion for both excellent copy and collaboration with creatives and marketing leads. They’ll need to lead brainstorming sessions, partner with Design, and collaborate with Business, Marketing, Product, and other teams to refine copy as needed to make sure our messaging is pitch-perfect.

Education & Experience

BA or above; 10+ years work experience
