Position Purpose

This role will be responsible for the financial accounting and control activities at the Zonal Level. This will involve supporting the shared services team in transaction processing, implementation of the internal control systems, policies and procedures in the zone and provide decision support in the form of regular reports for the above. The role will also provide support to the Sales team for decisions related to customers, schemes and collections, etc. and facilitate pricing decisions.
Strategic Responsibilities
Work with Zones to prepare recommendations for customer blocking and reactivation, credit limit and credit performance (ACL).
Balance Confirmation quarterly.
DI / DE agreement renewals.
Identify vendors, negotiate and issue POs for zone specific requirements based on standard terms and conditions & DOAs on receiving PRs from Zonal Manager and team.
Operational Responsibilities
Ensure proper documentation for customer creation.
Do complaint management for timely closure and escalate to top management.
Follow-up and updation of CAR files.
Coordinate with Shared services to ensure timely and qualitative outcome of transaction processing.
Implement all internal control systems and processes in line with company’s policies and procedures.
Prepare periodic reports based on framework defined by the Agri Controller as needed by the business.
Ensure proper filing and record keeping at zones, branches and depots.
Issue price circulars to trade and sales team, as and when there is a change in price.
Quarterly reconciliation of Zonal Assets.
Conduct surprise inspection and stock points in alignment to the SAP Vs Actual and any other report as may be desired and defined by the Agri Controller.
Ensure timely filing of insurance claims and follow through.
Participate in preliminary assessment of C&F agent along with SCM Head based on pre-defined parameters.
Support Supply Chain to finalize contract for secondary transportation and their performance.
Provide inputs on annual C&F and depot performance management.
Support familiarizing the new C&F agents on company’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements as and when needed.
Ensure timely and qualitatively.
Zonal lease licenses.
Product endorsements selling permissions.
Professional tax fillings.
Support indirect tax team, timely assessment & liaison with local authorities.
Co-ordinate on Internal & Statutory Audits matters relating to zones.
Support the Zonal in Charge in follow through and closure of audit findings.
Ensure stock point staff are trained on Depot operations & BC.
Issuance and depository of Company assets
Financial Responsibilities
Build relationship with Key customers (Top 80% – Revenue) to understand and resolve issues and prepare recommendations for HO.
Track and monitor business information on various performance indicators of business performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions related to
Schemes.
Debtors.
Compliance and Controls.
Business processes.etc
Manage petty cash payments and regional cheque issuances for the zone.
People Responsibilities
Share learning’s with members of the team for cross functional development.
Review team and individual performance and provide feedback on strength and development and drive action plans for improvement.
Education Qualification

B.Com /MCOM /CA (inter) / Master’s Degree in Finance – First Division
Work Experience

Overall 4-5 years with around 2-3 years of experience in handling sales finance, controls function.
