Role Description
Role Description: Windows Administrator/Cloud

Role and responsibilities

Responsible for managing AWS cloud environment
Cost optimization in AWS environment
Responsible for handling escalated incidents and High Availability environment incident Management on Windows & VMWare Platform
Problem Management .
Proficient in ticketing tools like Service Now
Change Management: Prepare Implementation, back out and test plan for Change records. Perform risk and impact analysis for changes.
Understanding of Disaster Recovery planning and conducting DR tests.
Basic Understanding of AWS Public Cloud
Manage and maintain Windows servers 2008,2012 R2 and 2016
Plan, install, and configure large deployments of Windows Server and Hyper-V Monitor and Resolve Windows server issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.
Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
Execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Deployment of MS security hotfixes and Windows patches
Adherence to the patch management procedure for applying patches on the server
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Provisioning of new servers as and when required
Handling IIS related issues, RDS issues, Terminal Server issues
Should have knowledge about RDS Farm, Connection Broker server and VDI environment.
Capacity management (Out of disk/Memory/CPU related issues)
Should be comfortable for 24*7 shift

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

Manage and maintain Windows servers 2008,2012 R2 and 2016
Significant experience with Disk Management, File Permissions, NFS, Application servers
Technical understanding of Package Installation & Server patching using tools.
Experience with Physical & virtual servers
Knowledge of VM build, Template.
OS performance checks & troubleshooting performance issue

Nice-to-have skills

Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Ability of adapt any new technical environment with minimal knowledge transfer efforts

Qualifications

B.E./B. Tech/BCA/BSC(IT)
Basic Understanding of docker
