Job Description : NCT9-1-1 is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to educate the public and ultimately help save lives!Company DescriptionSaving Lives and Making a Difference!The North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1) is responsible for 40+ Emergency Communications Centers (ECC) in 13 counties surrounding the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. NCT9-1-1 supports these ECCs through maintaining and upgrading 9-1-1 equipment, providing up-to-date mapping information, training the 9-1-1 Telecommunicators, educating the public on the proper use of 9-1-1, and monitoring ECC functionality and compliances. NCT9-1-1 serves a population of 1.9 million and 10,800+ square miles.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to implement and maintain 9-1-1 awareness efforts through public outreach, marketing, and publications. Responsibility includes 9-1-1 campaigns, event planning, market research, and social media. The position includes the creation of publications, budgets, goals, work plans, implementation strategies, content marketing, and copywriting. Other duties include serving as a 9-1-1 program representative.Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Planning public meetings and outreach events
Determining the appropriate method to reach various audiences
Creating and editing materials for release
Creating content for NCT9-1-1’s social media sites
Developing and implementing 9-1-1 awareness campaigns
Developing and producing publications and communications by writing, reviewing, and editing materials
Managing the communications/public education budget
Serving as NCT9-1-1’s representative by attending conferences, meetings, and public education events

Required Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
Self-motivated with strong analytical skills
Highly customer services oriented
Able to multitask and prioritize
Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google+
Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
