Position : Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description : Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring all AP-related functions, including assigned invoices and vendor inquiries, are completed timely and accurately within pre-established accounting deadlines.
Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
Verify that proper documentation is included with invoice submissions
Provide necessary information regarding invoice discrepancies to purchasing department
Manage vendor accounts and relationships
Review and reconcile vendor statements
Review, reconcile, and process vendor credits
Manage, review, and mail customer invoices
Process purchase order invoices into system
Process direct ship invoices and customer billing
Process required freight charges
Process applicable chargebacks and provide documentation to the vendor
Maintain file room; vendor invoices, check and EFT documents, employee expenses, and other AP related documents
Manage AP dedicated telephone # and voice mail

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Accounts Payable experience is required (Preferred)
Experience with Concur (Preferred)
Experience with General Ledger and GAAP
Analyzing and resolving purchase order discrepancies
Experience in distributor/retail environment a plus
Willingness to work overtime as needed
High attention to detail and problem solving
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Prelude/AccuTerm (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
