Job Description : Houston Children’s Charity is an established small-range non-profit seeking an Administrative Director to lead it through a period of growth. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the organization, ensuring that it is operating efficiently and effectively to meet its goals. This is a multifaceted position with tasks that fall into several different categories including human resources, facilities management, and administrative duties. Responsibilities:

Oversees HCC’s daily office operations and perform managerial oversight of administrative staff.
Manages database and performs all gift processing and donor acknowledgements in a timely and accurate manner.
Answers and screens phone calls, provides information, answers questions, and fulfills requests as needed.
Evaluate processes and existing procedures to ensure the team is working as efficiently as possible. When applicable, recommend and implement process improvements to save time, money, and resources.
Responsible for identifying applicants for employment; assigning and reviewing progress of assignments; managing performance; and developing higher levels of expertise in staff members by encouraging further education, participation in work-related seminars and providing learning opportunities within the organization.
Oversee the human resources function to ensure optimum staffing and utilization of competent staff, recommending policy changes to benefits, compensation, employment, training and other areas as appropriate.
Oversee the purchase of all equipment, furnishings, and supplies for the office.
Manages rental contracts for HCC office and warehouse space.
Supervises employee health insurance and property/event/volunteer insurance.
Protect HCC’s legal interests and maintains its operations within the law; retains and works with counsel to obtain opinions or handle claims.
Analyze and evaluates vendor services, particularly for insurance, employee benefits and management of funds to determine programs and providers that best meet the needs of HCC.
Assist with the setup of annual tax audit and annual and quarterly taxes filings.
Facilitate the work of the Board and its committees by developing resource materials, providing appropriate information, and reports and assisting committee chairpersons as necessary.
Work closely with CEO, Chairman of the Board, Development Committee, and accounting team to ensure budgeted numbers are met, expenses are accurate and revenue projections are on track.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for approval by the President & CEO.
Manage expenditures within a Board-approved budget.
Provide accounting and maintains P&L for all events.
Oversees HCC’s individual family and agency programs including A Better Night’s Sleep, Back2School, KidsSMART, Adopt-A-Family, Chariots for Children, Easter Party, Christmas Party, HCC Closet, Houston Children’s Charity Family Emergency Fund at Texas Children’s Cancer Center and Annual Toy Distribution.
Assess critical community needs and assist in the development of new programs.

Qualifications:

Ability to learn and use DonorPerfect
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Superb written and oral communications skills
A strong manager with a focus on producing results and meeting deadlines
Donor and volunteer service mentality
Energetic, flexible and a team player

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29,921.00 – $143,070.00 per year
Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Education:

Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
