Job Description : Summary –
The Administrator of Population Health will oversee an interdisciplinary approach to integrating data and community input to improve the health of communities through policy recommendations, health promotion, education, outreach, and utilization of community partners, agencies, and health care systems to improve health outcomes. The Director will be health strategies addressing emerging health threats and developing strategies to combat leading causes of illness, disease, and disability utilizing the Public Health 3.0 model and 21st Century Public Health frameworks.
Essential Duties:

Under the Direction of the Deputy Health Department Director develop the goals, policies, and strategies Division of Population Health utilizing the Public Health 3.0 model and 21st CenturyPublic Health frameworks.
Oversee the budget and financial development of the population health division in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director of the Health Department.
Develops operational initiatives with measurable outcomes in accordance with the department’s strategic plans.
Assists staff in formulating objectives, goals, and strategies working with community stakeholders.
Ensure communication and cooperation with local, state, and federal agencies, in emergency preparedness and population health.
Develop community partnerships and represent the health department when called upon for community meetings and events.
Foster and promote staff in community outreach including underserved populations.
Promote staff development within the division
Overseas data collection and interpretation of relevant population health data with guidance from the epidemiology team.
Ensures pandemic and emergency public health preparedness planning and the response of the department in collaboration with the population health manager and the county Department of Emergency Services Medical Countermeasures Manger.
Assists the health department in the development of plans for emerging health threats including population health response through disease investigations.
Ensures operations of population health events including health fairs, community outreach events, screenings, etc.
Ensures operation of public health department call center.
Coordinates public health communication with the county office of public relations.
Ensures the training and development of population health staff and maintenance of quality in programs.
Supervises managers and coordinators of the Division of Population Health.
Works with the senior leadership team of the health department to promote public health in the community.
Coordinates the Community Needs Assessment for Health Department with health department epidemiologist office.
Ensure a working environment that promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, and professionalism.
Serves as the Accreditation lead for population health.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in public health or related health field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 3 years management experience preferably in a public health setting.
Supervisory experience in public health or emergency preparedness.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate solutions to address public health issues in the county.
Good organizational skills in relation to directing larger-scale operations and events.
Skilled communicator with interpersonal and leadership abilities that can adapt to changing situations.
Experience in budgeting and grant management

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $86,366.00 – $95,000.00 per year
