Design Optimization and Improvement
Evaluate the design to identify design marginalities and make proposals with supporting data to different design teams to introduce ways to enhance the design performance.
Perform analysis (using sims/lab) to stretch the performance of the products outside the product specifications and then use the results to identify potential areas where the product specifications can be improved with/without design interventions.
Create and maintain necessary documentation for the above.
Benchmark IP Performance & develop models to provide performance projections
Evaluate the silicon characterization reports, data-books, simulation data and design documents to benchmark the performance of different IPs.
Identify patterns and trends of the PPA across technology, across nodes and frequency to develop a performance model which can then be used to predict performance for any particular customer use-case.
