Job Description : One of the Flathead Valley’s most innovative, exciting, and successful manufacturing companies is seeking an Assembly Manager. Looking for a candidate that is self-inspired to learn and demonstrates a high degree of customer service while positively contributing to the team. Primary focus is providing strong leadership and supervision to an Assembly team. The successful candidate will help select, lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members from various departments to achieve outstanding manufacturing performance results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement (Lean/TPM) tools to improve productivity, culture, and teamwork.
Essential Functions / Responsibility:Manages team leads in the assembly and electrical departments and coordinates with Fabrication,
Paint, IT and Project Management to ensure project completion. Coordinates production inputs and
other resources as required to meet production goals.
Works closely with Human Resources as an integral part of the hiring process for hiring new
production employees. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new and
existing employees.
Effectively manages and develops direct reports to ensure that all employees have the necessary
tools to efficiently and effectively complete their job.Utilizes on-the-job training (OJT) to properly train and develop new employees on production
techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
Promotes and ensures quality at all levels by collaborating with direct reports and enforcing
systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Works closely with the Quality Control
Manager to ensure final products meet company quality standards before shipment.
Ensures workplace safety and governance over general environmental concerns.Ensures on-time schedule performance and delivery of products to meet company and client
deadlines. Develops and manages specific goals and plans for the Team to prioritize, organize, and
accomplish each project.
Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for production tasks based on work priority,
equipment availability, and skill of personnel. Monitors the team’s work levels and review work
performance individually and as a whole.Develops a vision to drive performance improvement based upon production metrics and culture
enhancement. Establishes strategic goals based upon current and future operations data and
develops solutions to meet those goals.Utilizes knowledge of AC and DC industry standards and applies within mobile industry where
applicable.
Inspects all project electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the
need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Performs business management duties, such as maintaining records or files, preparing reports, or
ordering supplies or equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
High School Diploma/GED received. Further education is highly preferred.
3+ Years as a licensed electrician OR document work experience in AC, DC, and low voltage environment preferred
2+ years of Manufacturing Production work experience.
Valid driver’s license in good standing, CDL preferred.
