Job Summary
Part-time Assistant Facility Manager in the Photography Program position in the Design Department, Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Facility management would be from 10 AM -2 PM, 20 hours a week, providing traditional and digital photographic studio support, administrative support, fulfilling IT and accounting tasks, and working closely with students, staff and faculty.
Essential Functions
Check out equipment to students and faculty.
Provide administrative support to Program Director.
IT support for class sessions and open lab times.
Mixing and replenishing chemistry in darkrooms for Photography Labs.
Basic photographic equipment maintenance.
Oversee work study students.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Understanding of photography, with knowledge of digital photographic workflow and color management, general photographic chemistry management and photographic equipment troubleshooting expertise on a range of platforms and brands of equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Photography related field.
Ability to support Program Director, faculty, and students with a varied slate of work and tech support demand in both traditional and digital photography environments.
Ability to support program with various marketing efforts including social media, open houses and summer workshops.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to bend, crouch, stoop
