Job Description : Overview

The Assistant Leasing Manager will lead platinum-level Leasing and Concierge teams by providing top-rated customer service through excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organization.
Responsibilities
1. In collaboration with the Leasing Manager, the Assistant Leasing Manager leads Leasing, Event, and Concierge teams.2. The Assistant Leasing Manager develops and directs training for both concierge and leasing team members to fully execute their assigned duties.3. The Assistant Leasing Manager oversees daily operations including: creates and enforces the schedule; approves team members’ bi-weekly time sheet and vacation requests; ensures all timekeeping policies are adhered to.4. The Assistant Leasing Manager recruits, interviews, and helps train new team members during on-boarding process.5. The Assistant Leasing Manager completes quarterly/annual evaluations for assigned team members; provides feedback to the Leasing Manager on team member performance.6. The Assistant Leasing Manager maintains proactive communication with the contracted security team to keep them up-to-date on any process or community updates.7. The Assistant Leasing Manager collaborates with the Leasing Manager and other department leads to streamline processes.8. The Assistant Leasing Manager ensures all team members are in compliance with required training and learning platforms.9. The Assistant Leasing Manager oversees Concierge and Leasing daily operations including, but not limited to: monitors apartment availability, works with the turn coordinator to ensure monthly goals are met, assists with the scheduling of vendors; establishes and maintains rapport with the Navy’s Housing Office and base commands to manage applications; regularly reviews and distributes new applications to Leasing Specialists; ensures the wait list is accurate and up to date; ensures the move-in process is accurately completed from beginning to end; supports Leasing Specialist with move-in preparation.10. The Assistant Leasing Manager Collaborates with Leasing Manager to create and/or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the department.11. The Assistant Leasing Manager creates and fosters a positive and collaborative working environment among the different departments and the entire community; encourages team members to promote community events to residents and team members; assist the Events Administrator as needed; follows up with residents regarding service requests as requested; ensures all deployment-related tasks are complete.12. In addition to the above, you will be expected to execute all other duties as assigned from time to time, to ensure adequate property management operations are maintained. This includes assuming the responsibilities of the Leasing Manager in their absence.13. The Assistant Leasing Manager must be able to draft correspondence to residents and all other appropriate representatives, subject to the approval of the Community Manager.14. The Assistant Leasing Manager must fairly and consistently implement the policies of the community as defined by the Resident Guidelines and Community Handbook. This includes notifying residents of violations and providing direction for compliance. Ensure residents are maintaining the homes to our standards and perform health and safety inspections as needed.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
1. A minimum of two years’ experience in a leasing capacity or customer service related industry, preferably multi-family property management.2. Minimum one year demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor subordinate and peer employee staff.3. Military experience or prior exposure to the military is preferred.4. Must be able to pass background investigation and drug test screening.
Required Education/Training:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.2. Valid Driver’s License.3. Must successfully complete all required courses, classes, and training provided by MMM.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as complete assignments independently. Demonstrate an ability to lead, support and contribute to community team.2. Must possess strong attention to detail.3. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.4. Competence in operation Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and community management software.5. Must demonstrate a professional and positive attitude in every aspect of his/her work.6. Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws.7. Neat, clean, professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.8. Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.9. Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalationof the problem.10. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment.11. Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.12. Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion.13. Take instructions from supervisors.14. Exercise problem-solving skills.15. Interact with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, residents, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
WorkingConditions:
1. Must be able to work 40 hours per week to include occasional evenings and weekends if required for community events. Occasional overtime hours may be required.2. Requires routine squatting, walking, and lifting of no more than 30lbs without assistance, with full range of motion.3. Must be able and eligible to drive a company vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $32.96 per hour
