Job Description : Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Assistant Registrar utilizes technical, functional, and research skills to optimize all facets of enrollment and degree verification operation and services and graduation and credentialing services within the Office of the University Registrar. Assistant Registrar coordinates with office management to ensure enrollment, degree, and academic data integrity adheres to Title IV requirements, identifies, and resolves emerging issues related to verification, graduation, and credentialing. The Assistant Registrar serves as the primary contact for graduation and credentialing service and manages the internal and external applications that facilitates the verification and credentialing services. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree and at least 4 years directly related experience.Experience with graduation application, degrees awarded and diplomas a plus. Experience using a student information system, particularly Ellucian’s Banner. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Proficient with relational databases, data analysis, and developing queries using SQL, preferred
Ability to effectively analyze, interpret and communicate policies, practices, and guidelines with strict attention to detail
Ability to indirectly supervise the work of others
Ability to work with limited supervision and collaboratively in groups
Ability to handle tactfully difficult requests and situations and to offer alternative solutions
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Demonstrated organizational skills and abilities in managing multiple tasks and timelines.
Demonstrated skills in setting priorities that accurately reflects the relative importance of job responsibilities
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills as well strong customer service skills
Must demonstrate high level of assignment organization, priority and task orientation skills
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to student records, including the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
