Job Description : TITLE: Assistant, Visiting Clubhouse
DEPARTMENT: Clubhouse
REPORTS TO: Manager, Visiting Clubhouse
SUPERVISES: N/A
STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Normal clubhouse duties (hours worked avg. 12.5hrs/day, every day of baseball season)
Distributes mail
Cleans player shoes
Laundry
Assist in managing the kitchen and dining areas, including stocking and organization
Helps the Manager, Visiting Clubhouse with any special tasks
Helps Player/Staff with any special tasks
Keeps clubhouse in order
Keeps clubhouse staff and batboys on tasks
Packs for road trips
While Padres are on the Road
Prepare clubhouse for upcoming homestand
Meet visiting team upon arrival to unload equipment and unpack bags
Set up lockers
Stock snacks and drinks
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma
Experience in the hotel, restaurant industry, baseball or relevant industry a plus
Proficient computer skills and experience working with MS Office products
Strong customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to safeguard and maintain confidential information
Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to fifty (50)
As a condition of employment, the job candidate(s) must provide proof of current COVID vaccination plus booster and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screening
