What is the work?
Recruiting:

Recruits internal and external candidates
Sources candidates through multiple sources (e.g., cold calls, direct recruiting referrals, networking)
Reviews resumes; assesses candidates for knowledge, skills, and abilities
Conducts first-level interviews; makes recommendations to hiring managers; reviews / discusses candidate performance with subsequent interviewers
Assists candidates with new hire activities
– Organizes / executes H-E-B participation in job fairs and college recruiting activities

Conducts pre-employment activities such as drug testing, background / reference checks
Develops compensation package, relocation, and offer letter for candidates
Uses e-recruiting system (e.g., My Career 2.0) to input / extract data as needed

What is your background?

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field, or comparable experience
0+ years of retail or recruiting experience

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an Associate Recruiter at H-E-B?

Interviewing, assessment, negotiation, influencing skills
Analytical, project management, time-management, and organization skills
Verbal / written communication and presentation skills
PC skills (MS Office and database systems)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks; attention to detail
– Ability to work issues at all levels of H-E-B
