Position : Associate Scientist

Job Description : Key Responsibilities:

Performs polymer formulation, characterization and process in a research laboratory environment, under no or limited supervision
Understanding in biomaterials, colloid chemistry and polymer solutions, and understanding of structure and property relationship of hydrogel and/or polymer solutions (Desired)
Identifies and executes appropriate testing methodologies to evaluate potential new materials
Plan and execute experiments and to analyze experimental data; Documents experimental results details on all planned and completed experiments including raw materials, experimental plans and procedures, results, data analyses and conclusions in appropriate formats (laboratory notebook, memo and/or report) and communicate effectively to project teams.
G enerates documents such as batch records, study protocols and reports
Assists fabrication of GxP samples in cleanroom following established manufacturing procedures; knowledge of aseptic technique is preferred
Manages lab used chemicals as outlined in MSDS, SOP and other company prescribed, state and federal guidelines. Also, complies with all company established Health, Safety and Environment operational requirements

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
Compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety requirements, including good documentation practices.
Travel: 5%
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Relocation: No
