Hill School of Fort Worth is looking for a dynamic, hard-working Director of Athletics and Physical Education to work with students who learn differently beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. Located in southwest Fort Worth, Hill School is a college preparatory, private school for K-12 students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, high-functioning ASD and other learning differences. Our dedicated faculty enjoys small-group instruction in core subject areas to ensure that all students have an opportunity to reach their full academic potential. Students also explore interests and affinities through athletics and fine arts.
The Director of Athletics and Physical Education reports to the Assistant Head of School and is the point person for all of Hill School’s athletics programming. He or she serves as a role model and cheerleader for the school community, embodies the school’s mission, and elevates the school’s reputation. Additionally, he or she will serve on the administrative leadership team. Hill School is a member of the CSAF/TCAF athletic association.
In addition to teaching part time, the Director’s duties consist of coordinating the athletic schedule and the recruiting, hiring, training, and professional development of coaches and educators as well as managing a comprehensive physical education program. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for nurturing strategic partnerships with the Booster Club volunteer team to bolster spirit and participation.
Qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and four years of experience, preferably in a learning differenced school. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, consistently, and effectively with colleagues, students and families. Enthusiasm, optimism, punctuality, dependability, creativity, flexibility, and a sense of humor are all ideal traits that will ensure success in this detail-oriented environment.
