The Opportunity
Are you searching for an opportunity to take your automotive mechanical expertise & use it in a new and exciting way with an Ally? Mechanical Claims Specialists are integral members of our insurance team. Their primary responsibility involves providing policy assistance and technical claim support on the vehicle service contract program and other insurance programs (GAP, Tire & Wheel, etc.) to dealers, repair facilities, retail customers and financial institutions. They provide outstanding service to keep our customers happy and enhance the vehicle ownership experience.
The Work Itself

Handle inbound calls and written correspondence from customers, repair facilities and financial institutions to assist with policy administration and claim inquiries.
Efficiently engage repair facilities to acquire pertinent repair information to adjudicate vehicle service contract claims
Addressing inquires and collecting information using active listening and a probing approach
Validate information provided through research, manuals, database or contacts
Achieve total customer satisfaction in every interaction and making sure you are meeting or exceeding departmental objectives

The Skills You Bring

Strong mechanical knowledge or experience required. Direct experience within the automotive repair industry preferred.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with repair facilities to acquire pertinent information.
Effective problem solving skills with the ability to objectively handle conflicting priorities.
Proficient using a computer along with reliable, fast internet as well as a distraction free work environment.
HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Reliable with the ability to follow an 8-hour shift between 7AM and 7PM CST.
