JOB SUMMARY: Provide outstanding customer service for primarily incoming phone calls that are for various customer billing inquiries as well as creating work order service requests. Additionally there are several administrative tasks in regards to posting and reconciling payments, coordination of new installations and follow up of delinquent accounts.
Job details

Confers with customers by phone, online or in person to provide information about services, creates work orders to open and closed accounts, and schedules services as needed. .
Post incoming payments using the Remit Plus direct deposit equipment. Reconcile Remit Plus payment posting totals to AVR billing system totals.
Opens mail containing incoming payments and post to AVR billing system.
Receive cash payments, post to AVR billing system and create deposit slip.
Generate and mail termination notices
Call customers who have not paid to remind them of payment due, to avoid service termination.
Create, prepare work orders, and door hangers for non-payment service termination.
Data entry and filing associated with: Logging payment batch numbers and amounts.
Enter email meter readings, called in readings and mailed in meter readings received from customers.
Process customers letter of credit reports.
Process customer recurring payment applications.
Close completed work orders and check for outstanding work orders.
Coordinates the installation of meters for new customers.
Coordinates the filing, archiving and disposal of records.
All other jobs as assigned.

INTERFACE AND RELATIONSHIP:
Internal relations: All Grey Forest Utilities administrative and field staff and all supervisors and managers.
External relations: Utility customers
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong experience of providing customer service. General knowledge of natural gas, its usage and metering. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as MS Word, Excel, billing, email, managing files and records.
Skills: Involves using communication and organizational skills to accomplish goals. Convey information effectively, active listening, reading comprehension, writing, time management, critical thinking, service orientation, active learning.
Abilities: Able to use critical thinking, software knowledge; oral comprehension and expression with speech clarity. Written comprehension, problem sensitivity, and deductive reasoning.
Education: High School, vocational school or associate degree or combination of education and experience as designated by the General Manger.
Experience: Previous work-related skill and knowledge
