Calls to insurance companies to collect on outstanding account balance
Work with Attorney/Dr on patient account (rebilling and or sending HCFA)
Knowledge of EOB’s/Denials
Work all underpayments / make sure that the claim is or is not paid correctly according to the guidelines
Work all RX’s that come in the door on litigated claim
Phone experience
A/R worked on a monthly basis
Work daily mail
Verify workers comp claims on no insurances
Collect on outstanding bills from carriers
Must be customer service oriented and report any issues that may arise to the Manager
Responsible for outbound/inbound calls with patients, doctors, attorneys, sales reps, and insurance companies
Respond to calls and emails in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal colleagues to gather the detail needed to ensure proper patient care and expedite services
Responsible for contacting referral sources as directed by Account Manager
Communicate necessary account information or special requirements to each department as necessary
Collect and notate data related to calls that were made
Consistently takes initiative to go above and beyond to assist Referral Sources, AM’s, and internal partnerships within office
Thinks outside of the box and willingly offers suggestions on improving quality, workflow, and current policies and procedures
Monday through Friday (varying shifts)
Strong computer skills, including experience with databases, Windows based applications and related software support systems
Professionalism with strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to deal with external customers enthusiastically and with professionalism
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers
Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve issues
Excellent Customer Service skills
Dependable, self-motivated team player, able to be flexible and the ability to switch one’s thinking and attention between tasks
Ability to provide insightful, detail-oriented data
Knowledge of prescriptions medications (preferred not required)
Spanish Speaker (preferred not required)
