Position : Biostatistician – Intermediate
Job Description : Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for providing statistical support for all research studies, including development of study design, selection of appropriate statistical methods, precision estimates, and conducting statistical analysis and interpretation of results and writing technical and scientific report.
Job Duties:
Designs and conducts statistical analysis of clinical research studies and clinical trials under the direction of faculty.
Responsible for programming and cleaning data related to study objectives.
Selects data samples, prepares questionnaires, and analyzes collected information according to established statistical methods.
Provides statistical, programming development and produces data validations, query reports, and study reports for clinical studies (multilevel, multisite, nested design).
Develops charts and graphs to display results; may assist in writing research papers for publication.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or Applied Statistics.
Experience:
Three to five years of experience analyzing data for clinical research or population databases is required.
Proficient with R statistical software
Effective oral and written communication of statistical concepts and results.
Expertise in data manipulation and statistical methodology.
Flexibility in approaches to data analysis with the ability to understand and implement the views and objectives of multiple perspectives, and ability to learn new statistical computing tools.
