Help re-launch a groundbreaking operation in Arizona.
The Mission
Mark Kelly for Senate is the campaign organization for Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. The campaign is working to re-elect Senator Kelly to a six year term in 2022 after he won a special election in 2020 to fill the remainder of the late Senator John McCain’s term. We are building a team committed to working together to re-elect the Senator and hold Arizona in 2022.
The Opportunity
Mark Kelly for Senate is seeking a Campaign Assistant to support the scheduling needs for a dynamic, growing, and diverse team. Our Campaign Assistant will support the Operations Department’s work to maintain the campaign and principal calendars; helping track inquiries and book travel. The Campaign Assistant will also manage the Campaign Manager’s calendar, tracking inquiries and adjusting the schedule for a constantly changing environment.
Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to help manage multiple projects at once. In addition, individuals should be well organized with strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should be able to exercise discretion and independent judgement, as well as being able to work independently. Finally, candidates should be excited by the prospect of working in Democratic politics, in a top-tier Senate race.
Duties

Work with the Scheduling team to maintain principal calendars, adjusting for a constantly changing schedule
Manage the campaign manager’s schedule; tracking and responding to inquiries
Support the Operations and Scheduling team with travel and staffing logistics
Assist with briefings and memos across departments
Support campaign leadership on scheduling and invitations for larger meetings
Provide support to other projects as needed

Logistics

Level: Associate
Salary: $4,950/month
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Benefits: Eligible for UnitedHealthcare medical, dental, vision plan at no premium
Leave: 6 days of vacation in the first 6 months, additional days accrued after 6 months, reasonable sick leave, bereavement, and paid holidays
Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
