Position : Campus Computer Technician
Job Description : Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain student devices, network and software throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing student devices. Responsible for all inventory of equipment, and must complete scheduled device checks throughout the year. Helps create and administer all student accounts (K-12th grade) to provide network access..
1. Install and upgrade computers and peripherals throughout the district.2. Install network cabling and network peripherals throughout the district.3. Reallocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.4. Install and configure software as needed.5. Computer Imaging.6. Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.7. Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, interactive slates, whiteboards, document cameras, projectors, personal computers, tablets, and mobile devices.8. Replace, reimage, and retire equipment according to the established 12-month agenda.9. Maintain accurate updated records of Hardware and Software Inventories, Responsible Use Policies, and Agreements.10. Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.11. Assist, organize, and inventory incoming Technology shipments.
Safety12. Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.13. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting,climbing and carrying.14. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately. Other15. Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.16. Work with district approved vendors and solicit quotes
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Equipment Used: Personal computer, Laptop, and power/hand tools for assembly/disassembly of Technology hardware.
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; frequent district-wide travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,792.00 – $40,228.00 per year
