Our cashiers must be reliable and have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and effective time management habits. Sunflower Shoppe encourages all of our employees to continuously learn- about our products, how to sell, and about our customers! Cashiers should love to work with people, have excellent math skills and be available for flexible scheduling. An interest in supplements, natural body care and organic foods is a plus!
Some cashier responsibilities include:
Giving the customer their undivided attention
Resolve customer challenges and/or complaints and provide relevant information
Properly scan or ring up goods according to policy
Collect payments and finalize transaction according to policy
Properly bag, box, or wrap customer purchases and packages
Maintain well stocked, clean, and organized checkout and cart areas
Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
Follow established procedures to report errors in retail pricing or signage
Assists with Stocking & Customer Service duties as needed
Promote store programs, sales and seminars
Help with stocking, maintaining or creating displays
Some requirements include:
Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Up to 8 hours
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
