POSITION SUMMARY
The operators will oversee the entire production process to ensure SAFE, efficient and quality operations for a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation. Chemical Operators will work as a team operating and maintaining the chemical production plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Work in a SAFE and efficient manner in all tasks
Primary functions of the loader position are trans-loading of bi-carb railcars, railyard railcar movements, truck tanker and railcar loading.
Monitor, operate and control equipment and systems to ensure that all are functioning and to maintain maximum efficiency
Perform basic maintenance related tasks
Initiate work request for required maintenance of equipment and processes
Prepare equipment for maintenance.
Notify Supervision of equipment malfunctions.
Record test results and other data pertaining to the plant’s operation.
Other duties assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

High School diploma or completed GED.
Previous industrial manufacturing experience is a plus
Proficiency in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Basic PC skills required and experience with a distributed control system (DCS) is a plus
Ability to work a compressed shift.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical requirements: Must be able to climb stairs, lift 40 pounds. Bending, stooping and walking is required.
Ability to work a 12-hr rotating shift and work overtime.

Job Type: Full-time
