Position : Circuit Court Clerk
Job Description : Cheboygan CountyCheboygan County is accepting applications and resumes for the position of Circuit Court Clerk within the County Clerk’s Office. The position is responsible for clerking while court is in session, other duties include maintaining case files, bonds and other papers deposited with the court, as well as the records of the court itself. This position also includes basic deputy clerk/register duties such as searching vital statistic records, issuing marriage licenses and other duties as directed. This is a full-time 35 hour per week position. Starting Salary: $17.27 per hour plus competitive benefit package. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in related field preferred. · Experience in a court or legal setting with substantial word processing experience. Experience in vital records. · Working knowledge of computers and internet.· Good communication skills.· Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.· Pass background check and drug screen per county policy.An application is available at www.cheboygancounty.net.
