Job Description : Communications Associate
The Old Globe seeks a full-time, in-person Communications Associate to create compelling, engaging print and online materials that make the case for supporting for the Globe, and collaborate on philanthropic communications strategies. Based in the Globe’s Marketing and Communications Department with a particular focus on the work of the Philanthropy Department, this position will develop branding strategies for campaigns; manage email communications for Marketing, Philanthropy, and Arts Engagement Departments; and write print and e-communications including donor newsletters, stories of donor impact, invitations to events, donor-related social media posts, and more.
The successful candidate will have experience in copywriting and campaign branding and awareness. They will be a creative communicator with a talent for and demonstrated history of persuasive storytelling, and who can adapt content and materials to various formats while consistently aligning with the Globe’s mission and values. The candidate will also manage the Globe’s robust e-communications efforts by building several weekly emails on the backend, considering layout, design, functionality, and branding, as well as maintaining the Globe’s multidepartment email calendar. The selected candidate will be motivated and organized, able to balance multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working cross-departmentally. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and CRM email software are required; experience with Wordfly specifically is a plus. Full-time position with benefits, including 401(k). Hourly rate is $24- $26 per hour depending on experience.
