Position Description:
The Economy League seeks a Supplier Diversity Community Manager to help the organization facilitate introductions and build community for its regional supplier diversity initiative,
Philadelphia Anchors for Growth and Equity (PAGE). PAGE is a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia and major anchor institutions that leverages institutional purchasing power to create growth opportunities for local diverse businesses. This position will support the PAGE mission by:

Connecting minority businesses with supplier diversity professionals and department leaders at PAGE anchor institution partners.
Developing and maintaining an active list of Philadelphia-area minority businesses.
Sharing contracting opportunities with qualified minority businesses and PAGE ecosystem partners like the minority chambers of commerce.
Helping plan and execute networking events, site visits, trainings, and an annual summit.
Pairing local minority business leaders with financing, consulting and other resources from our partner organizations
Managing a regular schedule of outgoing communications, including our monthly newsletter FrontPAGE.
Identifying the needs of local minority businesses and helping PAGE design specialized resources to support those organizations.

The Economy League is an action-oriented ‘think-and-do’ tank that produces actionable intelligence on issues central to the economic vitality and inclusive and equitable growth of
Greater Philadelphia. It uses data and analysis to develop targeted programming to improve economic outcomes. The person occupying this role will need to be comfortable working in the
organization’s fast-paced environment and connecting directly with local government, nonprofit, business, and academic leaders.
The ideal candidate has the following skills and competencies:

Experience organizing digital and in-person events
Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to turn a complex issue into an easily understandable written narrative
Strong understanding of people with an empathetic communications style
Willingness and ability to quickly learn a new skillset or technology
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
