Job Description : Summary of Position:

At Alcon, we help our customers see brilliantly. As the world’s leading contact lens and eye care manufacturer, Alcon is looking to hire a Compounder I to join our Ft. Worth manufacturing team in Ft. This position will compound solution for all production lines in a business unit including weighing of the chemicals, compounding, testing and releasing the solution for use in production.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products.
Compound Media solution for revalidation of filling process.
Order supplies thru Maximo system, Perform LV8 and SAP system entries.
Execute preventive maintenance.
Operates general manufacturing equipment, such as autoclaves, ovens, stills, filtration apparatus.
Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products.
Mixes compound ingredients for liquid products, suspensions, ointments, mixes, or blends for tablet granulations and capsule powders.
Performs general maintenance as required on pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, tablet compression machines, etc.
Performs standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Maintains records as required.
Perform Safety and Quality Audits.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Tasks are completed in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Participates in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.

Perform area sanitization if necessary.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, writes, understand and communicate in English
3 Years of Relevant Experience
Be able to lift up to 50lbs

Work hours: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-midnight
