Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: Remove hard drives from laptops and desktop computers and uses the KILL DISK software to erase hard drives utilizing US DOD 5220.22-M method 3 passes. Assembles and tests desktop towers, laptops, monitors, motherboards, video cards, power supply, DVDs drives.

Essential Functions Statements:
Works collaboratively with supervisor to establish timelines and accomplish project goals and objectives. Follows daily assignment and department priorities to ensure productivity.
Disassembles and assembles donated used computers, and electronic items complying with all requirements and procedures established in the Recycling Department.
Utilizes 4DX methodology for achieving organizational goals.
Provides outstanding customer service and answers customers’ questions, and provides information on computer equipment. Stocks Computer Store to meet daily sales goal.
Maintain their work areas including equipment, clean, safe, organized, and supports with other housekeeping duties.
Assists customers with their donations. Issues donation receipts
Assists in training employees on computer disassembly.
Understands the facility operation including, product flow, sorting, operating the register, auctions, understands dock area, and provides excellent customer service.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications:
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience: Six months to one year related experience.
Computer Skills: Skills commensurate with this position, MS Word and MS Excel, able to operate computerized register.
Certificates & Licenses: Computer Systems Certification preferred.
Other Requirements: Vision (Near, Distance)
