Job Description : We’re Lick Honest Ice Creams and we’re looking for somebody who loves ice cream almost as much as we do. We’re rapidly expanding our business and are always looking for more good food-obsessed people to join our family! Seeking a positive, dependable, and responsible cone maker to join our Pearl team. ***This position is prep and production, an early morning shift or late/overnight shift. Shift will be outside of open business hours and mostly independent***

We opened in 2011 in Austin on South Lamar and we now have 5 scoop shops (3 in Austin & 2 in San Antonio), a mobile ice cream truck, and a production facility in North Austin.
To us, “honest” simply means we use the purest ingredients we can find in our artisanal ice creams.
We take great pride in witnessing our milk and cream as it journeys from the cow to your scoop. All of the milk and cream used to make our ice creams comes from a local, family-owned dairy in Central Texas; and everything from the sauces, syrups, cookies, cakes and marshmallows is made by hand in our kitchen. We churn every batch and pack each pint by hand in our kitchen. We roll each waffle cone made from our homemade recipe with local farm fresh eggs in our shops every single day. All in an effort to serve up the freshest, most honest ice creams possible.
We are also committed to sustainability by using only compostable cups, spoons and napkins in our shops.

Responsibilities

Maintain highest shop and kitchen sanitary and cleanliness levels
Prepare waffle batter with accuracy and care – weighing ingredients
Able to apply batter to waffle cone irons and roll cones with accuracy
Able to work independently
Able to maintain a flexible schedule based on shop needs
Maintain strong communication with Shop Manager
Able to successfully and efficiently multi-task

Qualifications

1+ years Food Service or Baking experience preferred
Reliable and dependable transportation
Food Handlers Certificate required (within 30 days of hire)
Early morning or overnight availability a must
A keen eye for detail and execution

This is a unique, but very fun position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and loves to multi-task. It is an independent position with early mornings, or late night shifts – the store must be closed during cone making hours. It is also strongly encouraged that this position be filled by an individual that has respect for the local farmers and food artisans we have the pleasure of working with.
