The C.P.A. will help accomplish this by providing and conducting preventive and preparatory safety trainings and site surveys for a wide variety of governmental and private agencies, businesses, and organizations. The C.P.A. will also analyze data and intelligence information in direct support of official law enforcement operations for City, County, State, Federal and Tribal law enforcement agencies and/or criminal information networks. The C.P.A. will collect sensitive and non-sensitive information from a wide variety of sources including law enforcement, other criminal justice agency contacts, private citizens, databases, original source documents, open media sources, business, commercial and licensing records, administrative documents, summaries and statistical reviews.** See Job Description for complete details** The successful applicant must meet the following requirements: Education/ Experience/ Training:High School Diploma, GED or HSE;Must be a U.S. citizen;Be at least 18 years of age;Possess or be eligible for a Montana Driver’s License with a good driving record;A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree is required, or must have a minimum of ten (10) years full timeLaw Enforcement Experience, or similar military experience in a like field.If the applicant has a BA or AA, he or she must have two (2) years of professional job- related experience in intelligence analysis with a criminal justice, military, or governmental intelligence agency, criminal intelligence network organization, or business, financial or academic institution that compiles data, analyzes findings and writes reports that indicate causal relationships between various parties.Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Recruitment and selection processes will involve a written essay, oral interview, criminal background check and psychological evaluation.Certifications:Possess or be eligible for a valid Montana driver’s license;CJIN/NCIC Mobile Computer certification required within one (1) month of employment;First Aid and CPR certification required within one (1) year of employment;Ability to obtain additional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position.Sheriff’s Office Employment Statement: Any individual with a felony conviction, a domestic violence conviction or outstanding warrants is ineligible for consideration for employment by the CCSO. CCSO employees are prohibited from using medical and/or recreational marijuana or any other illegal drugs.The successful applicant must serve a one (1) year probationary period and will have a criminal background check conducted. The results thereof may disqualify the applicant from consideration for employment with the County.
