Job Description : THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Custodial workers are involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. Work involves the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness. This job is for a positive and productive person who takes pride in cleaning and helping others! Additional details regarding the duties of this position may be found in the position description. Work Schedule: Full-time: 7.5 hours/day; 37.5 hours/week 2nd Shift: 12:00PM – 8:00 PM Rotating days and weekends Lunch Period: 30 Minutes You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
In compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, if you are selected for this position, you must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, unless you are exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination due to an ADA or religious accommodation. If you fail or refuse to show the required verification at the time of hire, and you have not received an exemption from the CMS vaccination requirements, your employment will be terminated.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
No previous experience and training required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital is preferred. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices, or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, buffing, etc.)
Legal Requirements:
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment may require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Commonwealth Employment Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
