Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates transplant data collection, entry, and reporting activities and supports transplant information systems and data management team in providing hardware and software technical support services and training. Assures all communication and tracking/monitoring of transplant activity results in accurate clinical data reporting and charges being tracked and reported. Maintains a close working relationship with information services, clinical directors, clinical coordinators, financial billing, accounting and coding from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) and University Health System (UHS). Performs various data entry related functions within multiple applications. Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of transplant clinical and financial activity reports.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or its equivalent required. One year of experience in general office clerical work is required. Two years of experience preferred. Two years of related college level course work may be substituted for 1 year of experience. College or commercial school courses in business information systems functions are preferred. Two years of data management or information systems experience is preferred. Computer data entry, word processing and spreadsheet experience is preferred.
