Position : Data Entry Specialist
Job Description : Approved Transportation and Warehousing, Ltd., part of The DeWitt Companies, has an immediate opening for a qualified Data Entry Specialist to support our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with 3 years of data entry in a high-volume environment as well as AP/AR experience. To apply for this position, please reply to this ad.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather and sort documents/backup in preparation for invoice entry in the system
Verify accuracy of transaction information and customer details in order to post invoices
Review data to detect any errors and re-enter with correct information
Help to maintain accurate general ledger accounts by posting various account transactions and sales entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
Maintain database by entering new and updated customer account details
Establish data entry priorities as dictated by the Controller
Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the correct parties for resolution
Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Basic accounting knowledge and excellent data entry skills required
Able to handle high volume of entering 100+ invoices per day
AP/AR knowledge preferred
Strong attention to detail
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Microsoft Office proficiency
3+ years’ experience in data entry
1 year AP/AR experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer
WORK HOURS:Work hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru FridayBENEFITS:
