POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain student records at the campus level including but are not limited to, registration/enrollment record and immunization records.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Receive, classify, reconcile, consolidate, and summarize student documents and information
Utilize computer hardware and software and other standard office equipment for recording, storing, retrieving, and presenting information
Respond to and fulfill student records requests (electronic or stored physically in-house)
Process documents in accordance with established procedures and monitor to assure completion.
Provide key support, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical duties involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, conceptualizing and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing
Provide key support to the school secretary in a variety of tasks including but not limited to answering the phone, greeting parents, receiving and sending communication to other staff, copying forms or notes for parents, providing first aid to students, and supporting the front office
Check immunization records for accuracy and complete nurse surveys
Set up and prepare statistical reports. Resolve discrepancies and communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the organization
Compile regular and special reports
Communicate enrollment data to the central office
Explain programs to parents and community members
Maintain and manage appropriate student records
Assist Principal with monitoring student data (attendance, enrollment, report cards, testing, etc.)
Work with the central office PEIMS coordinator to ensure proper records are being maintained
Attend on-campus/off campus meetings and trainings relevant to the position or compliance
Maintain master schedule in TxEIS
Communicate with parents about necessary paperwork and programs for student enrollment
Support campus safety and operation (not limited to: escorting students within or in between buildings, lunch supervision, student arrival/dismissal duties, safety committee)
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma/GED
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data entry/record keeping/clerical work.
Experience in a public school district or charter, education service center, institution of higher education, or other educational setting preferred
Experience working with diverse populations: personnel, students, parents, and other stakeholders.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Maintain regular attendance.
Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard, smart board and other campus technology.
Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, including but not limited to: books, paper, presentation/instructional/office materials/supplies.
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and/or the ability to be mobile.
May work prolonged or irregular hours; maintain emotional control under stress.
Ability to travel districtwide and statewide as needed by means of personal/private or public transportation in compliance with the state’s department of motor vehicle and/or public transportation laws.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office
In-depth knowledge of assigned program and service area
Ability to plan and present information to a variety of audiences
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data
