Job Description : Dog Walker Job Description
Dog walkers walk dogs for clients and follow agreed-upon routes and schedules. They provide food and water and dispose of waste products. They provide companionship during work hours or vacation absences. They are also responsible for taking pets to the veterinarian in the event of an emergency.
Dog Walker Job Responsibilities and Duties
Walks dogs as scheduled
Plans walking routes
Disposes of dog waste
Observes pets’ behaviors
Takes dogs to the veterinarian in case of emergencies
Reports any concerning issues to clients
Pet Sitter Job Description
The person in this role should be reliable and trustworthy. Pet sitters care for various pets while their owners are away or working long hours. They may either stay in pet owners’ homes, host pets in their own homes, or perform daily visits to provide pets with food, freshwater, medication, and companionship.
The Pet Sitter’s responsibilities may also include cooking special meals for pets as instructed by pet owners, reporting behavioral issues to pet owners, as well as playing with pets to encourage mental and physical stimulation. You should also be able to vacuum pet hair and dander off carpets and furniture.
To be successful as a pet sitter, you should be knowledgeable of animal behavior and adept at caring for all kinds of pets.
