This is a non-represented role with a salary grade of 4035. The salary range for this role is $120,964 – $179,535.

Mission – To provide kindergarten through graduation education opportunities to the city’s school-aged and returning studentsensuring each student achieves to their fullest ability regardless of where they attend school, in an environment thatprohibits discrimination, racism, and harassment while celebrating and promoting diversity among students and staff.
Organization – The School District of Philadelphia is one of the oldest and largest urban public school systems in the country serving nearly 200,000 students, the majority of whom attend school outside of their immediate neighborhood. More than 50% of students have economic disadvantages; 18% have disabilities and receive special education services; and 15% are English learners coming from homes where 124 different languages are spoken by students and their care providers. School choice is a valued tradition that allows students to annually apply to attend schools with available seats and outside of their immediate neighborhood.
Job Summary
The Office of Enrollment and Placement requires a dynamic individual to provide vision and leadership in all aspects of student enrollment and placement who fosters and promotes teamwork in the design and development of strategies to ensure equitable access and placement for all students across the PreK-12 continuum. We are seeking an agent of change who is familiar with best practices for leading and managing a District-wide enrollment and placement process that promotes integration and equity. The selected candidate must be a proven disruptor of existing practices with demonstrated experience in enrollment and placement services in a kindergarten through 12th grade education system, inclusive of Pre-K.
Essential Function

Develops a comprehensive strategic plan to accomplish short and long-term student enrollment and placement goals; ensures that student enrollment and placement programs address the needs and concerns of a diverse student population.
Provides appropriate supervision, mentoring and professional growth and development to assigned staff; develops and implements professional growth plans that reflect the need to keep abreast of current developments, literature and resources related to student enrollment and placement.
Provides leadership and direction for customer service activities that assure a commitment to quality customer service and student-centered solutions.
Provides oversight to Enrollment Projection functions including but not limited to Pre-Enrollment Verification, Enrollment Verification and Enrollment Targets.
Ensures successful completion of Cyber Enrollment/Withdraw functions for Philadelphia students involved with cyber charter schools in Pennsylvania.
Oversees the implementation of the Comprehensive Records Plan for the Philadelphia School District.
Communicates and collaborates with school administrators, leadership teams and community stakeholders in order to develop positive working relationships.
Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal and state laws, school board policies and professional standards.
Works closely with other deputies in the District as well as other senior District staff.
Serves as the District’s representative to various councils and task forces involved with student enrollment and placement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in education, educational administration or a related field.
Ten years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience, at least five of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.
