We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Associate to join our growing team! This individual will work in our Houston, TX office.
The Desktop Support Associate II will support all computer related functions within the organization. Will perform a variety of basic and advanced technical desktop support duties including, but not limited to troubleshooting desktop, portable and remote devices, all peripheral devices, application and enterprise system support, hardware and software issues. The Desktop Support Associate II will install and configure standard business software, perform preventative maintenance on installed equipment, install add on components, set up and configure new systems, and provide advice to end users on hardware and systems software issues.
Position Duties:

Monitors application/system software and hardware operations
Assists with routine/high priority system problem identification and high priority corrective action
Assists with the performance/overseeing of system administration and network management/administration responsibilities
Ensures user compliance with security procedures and standards
Performs software installations
Assists with directing and training users
Assists with desktop platform management
Assists with backup rotation media
Identifies common difficulties and recommend changes to faster remediation
Remains abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
Documents installations and upgrades
Tests new images of desktops and laptops
Performs essential job demands for this position
Performs other duties and assists with department needs as assigned

Education & Qualification Requirements:

2 year degree in Information Technology or equivalent field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years working in a Microsoft environment

Required Skills:

Experience in installation & configuration of client hardware and software, including networking
Previous Windows 7/10 experience
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, Active Directory
Basic knowledge of networking
Understanding of malware cleanup tools and processes

Good oral, written, and verbal communication skills a must

Must be physically able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. and be able to access low to the floor connections
