A career with the Arlington Police Department offers stability, excitement, and personal satisfaction. Detention Officers are responsible for the daily operation of the jail. Duties include but aren’t limited to; booking, classifying, fingerprinting, and supervising arrestee’s activities.
Detention officers will have the opportunity to promote within the Jail or externally within the Department.
Below are some of the minimum standards to apply;
· Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
· Applicant must possess a High School diploma or GED.
· Applicant may not have any convictions above a Class C Misdemeanor within the last 10 years. (Including DWI / DUID).
Approximate Salary:
· $37,211- $39,444
