The Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation (CRC) has served as a catalyst for holistic community development in the historic neighborhood of 5th Ward for 30 years. The organization has built or renovated more than 1,000 housing units, renovated or built 40,000 square feet of commercial space, and developed cultural and park spaces to create places and opportunities for people to live, work and play.
About the Position
The Fifth Ward CRC seeks a Digital and Marketing Coordinator in Houston’s historic 5th Ward
The Digital and Marketing Coordinator will provide critical support to the 6 lines of business including coordination of website redesigns, managing relationships with digital vendor partners, project management of associated traditional marketing activities and other marketing initiatives as directed.
The Digital and Marketing Coordinator will focus time on developing, organizing, and implementing marketing strategies for Fifth Ward CRC projects. Along with performing market research and reporting to create brand awareness, this exciting position will build and maintain performance tracking. The Digital and Marketing Coordinator will also be creating and changing social media platforms and developing News and Press Releases in relation to the organization and community events. Other responsibilities will include building a marketing calendar and backing up other team members, as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains marketing strategies for Fifth Ward CRC and all lines of business associated. Organizes and executes marketing campaigns and special events, working closely with other marketing team members and committee. Assists with creating brand awareness through advertising, social media, website, and other outlets.
Conducts market research including competitive analyses, campaign results, and customer behavior trends.
Creates, tracks, and maintains marketing activity reports to determine campaign, system and environmental changes.
Creates, proofreads, and edits copy for organization promotion, training and customer facing newsletters. Collaborates with FWCRC team members to identify marketing requirements for all project needs
Collaborates with the Marketing Team to create and maintain marketing calendar to support upcoming projects. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required, including but not limited to backing up other team members.

Ability to work flexible hours and weekends if necessary.
