As an Enhanced Direct Support Professional, you will be providing direct support for a man in his early 30’s with a desire to be a part of his community. You will have the opportunity to assist him as he navigates self direction and participates in meaningful activities such as swimming, working out, playing board games, writing, and staying active in his community. He enjoys having the opportunity to be integrated in the community and needs assistance with making choices that support an independent and desired quality of life.
Hours:
Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am- 4:00 pm, Thursdays 2:00 -4:00 and Fridays 2:00-6:30, hours are flexible
Location – Northeast Philadelphia
Experienced staff will:
Be responsible for supervision, safety, and welfare of the individual at all times.
Assist with ADLs as needed.
Be responsible for establishing and maintaining a productive daily activity pattern.
Provide skills training, assistance and/or supervision to the individual in the areas of community and social integration.
Provide feedback on an individual’s performance in accomplishing outcomes and objectives according to the ISP.
Demonstrate recognition of and properly report suspected abuse and neglect.
Has experience in working with individuals with challenging behaviors
Has experience in working with individuals with autism
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or NADD certification.
Have at least 1 year experience in the human service field.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and clean driving record.
Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or willing to get vaccinated
