Position : Director of Student-Athlete Development

Job Description : The position oversees the Student-Athlete Development program for the department of athletics to support our student-athletes successfully navigate and maximize their intercollegiate experience while aiding in their post-graduation transition process.

Promotes student-athletes ownership of their academic, athletic, career, personal and community responsibilities through dynamic programming and initiatives.

Engages and collaborates with Athletics Lettermen’s Association, Alumni Network and other industry leaders through events and personal correspondence to increase professional network in order to provide current/former student-athletes with career development and growth opportunities.

Coordinates NCAA Life Skills program and trainings to support total development of student-athletes.

Creates and implement programming for all student-athletes, including workshops, seminars and speakers to support key areas including but not limited to professional development, resume building, interview skills, and career discovery.

Develops and execute the Champions for Life leadership program for seniors and graduate student-athletes.

Oversees the development and instruction of CORE 1101, freshman success course.

Develops relationships with alumni, community members, and corporate sponsors to facilitate support of the student-athlete community service program; measure and track team and individual participation in outreach and community service events.

Serves on COOGS ALL IN, the Athletics departments Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Assists in supervision of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Facilitates student-athlete attendance at national, regional, or local leadership events Knows and adheres to relevant NCAA, Conference and University policies. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline, or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplines. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Additional Job Posting Information:

Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.

Salary
: 3,881.00 – 5,047.00
