Overview
The Dishwasher is a part-time position responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools. Also responsible for washing dishes, chinaware, flatware, cutlery and other kitchen vessels, the dishwasher will maintain the kitchen and dishwashing back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with company guidelines.
Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.
Wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher.
Clean and maintain kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures.
Operate pot-washing machinery.
Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
Clean large culinary equipment as assigned, following established procedures.
Regularly monitor any breakages or chipped items found, removing them from circulation.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and proficiency to operate industrial dish washers.
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and long hours.
Desire to learn and grow in a professional working environment.

This position requires constant attention to detail following simple to complex (more than three steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Ability to speak and read in English at an intermediate level.
Physical Demands
While performing duties of the job, the employee will constantly be required to push and lift equipment, food product, and supplies. Frequently, employees are required to pull, climb, kneel, and stoop to push carts of equipment, food product, and move tables and chairs. Employees are exposed to working conditions with hot plates and wet floors, frequently working in potentially loud environments with crowded work and event spaces.
