Position : Distillery Associate

Job Description : Distillery Production and Processing Associate
Reports directly to the Head Distiller and works under the supervision of the Assistant Distiller. The Distillery Production and Processing Associate is responsible for daily production, storage, and processing tasks as assigned by the Head Distiller.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Grain Handling: Receiving bulk grain, storing, weighing, milling.
Operating company truck and trailer to move raw material and supplies between locations.
Mashing: Operate mash tank and ensure recipes are adhered to.
Fermentation: Monitor active fermentations to ensure proper alcohol production.
Distillation: Carefully monitor distillation and adhere to established recipes. Constantly check product quality and maintain brand standards. Monitor spirit for appropriate smell, taste, and appearance.
Proofing: Calculate proof of spirits in process and record in accordance with company and TTB standards.
Barreling: Receive, prep, fill, label, and store barrels in accordance with company standards.
Bottling: Rinse, fill, cap, label, and case spirits in accordance with company policy.
Cleaning and Sanitization: Ensure distillery environment is kept clean, maintain tanks and equipment to the highest standard of cleanliness, run CIP (Clean in Process) on stills and tanks using appropriate chemicals.
Inventory Management: Assist with raw material, spirits in process, and finished goods inventory including receiving, processing, storage and record keeping.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Ensure proper records are kept in accordance with company, TTB, and TABC policies.
Assist as needed in the tasting room and retail area.
Operate transfer pumps, motors, pallet jack, forklift, jib crane, bridge crane, hand carts, chain hoist, steam boiler, glycol chiller, mill, and miscellaneous other machinery associated with the production of spirits and beer safely and in accordance with company policy.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour
