Posh Pets Houston is a double veteran owned and operated professional pet care company which provides dog walking and pet sitting services in central Houston. All of our services are performed in our client’s homes. We strongly encourage veterans and reservists to apply!

A DAY IN THE LIFE

First you’ll check in with your supervisor and collect any equipment needed for the day before looking over the schedule at the adorable furbabies you get to see.
As you start your route, you’ll perform pet sitting and dog walking visits according to customer specifications using our special software and mobile app, which will GPS track your visits and allow you to communicate with our clients without using your personal cell phone number.
You’ll see the same dog walking clients each day, but your pet sitting clients will give you an opportunity to see all different kinds of animals, from bunnies to horses, cats, and even flying squirrels.
Most routes will be condensed into a 10 mile radius, and you will drive using your personal vehicle (about 25 miles a day, and you’ll receive a mileage reimbursement).

We are currently seeking TWO part or full time Pet Pals to work 20-35 hours weekly. This is shift work and working times will vary. To qualify for full time you must have open availability.
Posh Pets is currently seeking a new Pet Specialist to join our team of professional pet caretakers. This position requires both a high level of customer service and animal care experience. You will be performing individual and group dog walking (up to 3 dogs at once) and pet sitting services.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide professional care and an exceptional experience for all fur-friends and their humans.
Perform basic cleaning tasks such as cleaning any accidents, litter boxes, washing pet bowls, sweeping, mopping, picking up dog waste, etc.
Keep all assigned clients’ homes and pets safe and secure at all times
Keep all pet areas free of pet waste by performing waste removal services daily (equipment provided)
Maintain strict security protocols to ensure the safety of employees, pets, clients, and client homes at all times.
Provide detailed visit reports to pet parents through our mobile app along with great photos of their fur family.
Assist management with distribution of collateral and sales materials.
Maintain a strict schedule and manage your time to ensure all visits are performed within their scheduled window.
Provide exercise for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Provide pet sitting for AT LEAST cats and dogs. Additional pets and farm animals are included in our client list and you are welcome to become certified to care for those animals if you’d like, but it is not a requirement. Animals cared for include but are not limited to guinea pigs, horses, chickens, hamsters, fish, birds, etc.

Requirements:

Valid Drivers License, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle are REQUIRED. You will be traveling to clients homes in your personal vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement.
High school diploma or GED REQUIRED
Willingness and ability to become pet CPR and first aid certified
1+ Years Customer Service Experience
Must have a smart phone which you are willing to use for work with a cell phone reimbursement.
You are not required to live within our service area, but you must be willing to travel to it as needed to complete your responsibilities. We provide service to the inner loop, Missouri City, Sugar Land, The Meadows, and surrounding areas.
