Position : Drafter

Job Description : NOVA Services, Inc. (NOVA) is a geotechnical engineering and construction special inspection and materials testing firm headquartered in San Diego. We are seeking a CAD Drafter.
Responsibilities include:

Drafting and plan take-offs, under general supervision, to produce geotechnical engineering drawings from CAD drawings, PDFs, sketches, mark-ups, existing as-builts, site maps, photos, and field notes.
Creating geotechnical maps, cross-sections, as-graded maps, sketches, graphics, and construction documents while working directly with engineers and project managers.
Draft engineering and construction documents using AutoCAD Review plans.
Utilize standard engineering practices and techniques to adjust and correlate data.
Prepare engineering plans, plots, and reports.
Revise drawings from mark-ups and/or instructions.
Complete assigned tasks on all projects in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.
Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.

Required Qualifications

Minimum two years of experience using AutoCAD in the engineering/construction fields
Associate’s degree in drafting or related discipline
US work authorization
Ability to read and understand architectural plans
Must be able to work in San Diego
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including word, outlook, and excel

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
