Experience: 3+ years of experience in editing and proofreading
Educational Qualification: B.A./M.A in English or a related field
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that each book is grammatically correct, logical, well-structured, and coherentPrepare, rewrite and edit content to improve readability while adhering to in-house style guidelinesCheck the text’s references, journal abbreviations, and style reference list. Raise queries to the author regarding these and incorporate changes accordingly.Make comprehensive changes to reflect consistency across the descriptionReview and approve content
Skills & Abilities:
Good vocabulary and grammar to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the booksExcellent editorial skillsGood knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS WordStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProven experience in team and time managementAbility to respond flexibly to changing prioritiesAbility to follow strict deadlinesReading comprehension – Understanding written content in work related documents
