Position : Einstein Philadelphia – Customer Service Representative

Job Description : The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing impressive customer service when answering patient telephone calls
The Customer Service Representative is accountable for meeting or exceeding daily/weekly/monthly productivity and quality targets set forth by Professional Fee Billing management
Maintains a complete understanding of the appropriate follow up protocols and required software programs
Utilizes IDX / BAR(Physician billing), SMS(Hospital billing), Streamline modules and all other EHN software systems in accordance with Patient Financial Services and/or EHN protocols
Verify and get acclimated navigating multiple eligibility websites and portals, such as Navinet, Promise, Pear, IPAS, etc., while using other portals to print patient statements, such as Xenos
Update all pertinent demographic and insurance information on accounts via Cerner and IDX
Analyze and problem solve registration and ETM edits that can avoid charges from being billed in IDX
Review EOB’s/remits in IDX(Phys. system) and Doc Imaging(Hosp. system) to ensure proper posting and patient balances on accounts
Process patient payments for Physician and Hospital billing via HealthPay24
Have the ability to complete cash applications transactions, such as One-writes, reconcile petty cash fund, along with currency and coin orders, complete daily money audits, etc
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of EHN charity care policy, budget plan guidelines, and 3rd party insurance claims processing
Addresses/resolve patient billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Also, review patient telephone calls to identify trends, preventable root cause issues, and communicates these to the Customer Service Supervisor
Have the ability, but not limited to working other task, such as bankruptcies, correspondences, mail, etc.
Establishes effective relationships with other Customer Service Representatives
Meets productivity and quality measurement standards as set forth by the Professional Fee Billing Department
Establishes budget plans in accordance with the EHN Budget Plan Policy
Adheres to all customer service/patient satisfaction guidelines set forth by the Professional Fee Billing Department
Makes decisions in an ethical/effective/sound manner, adheres to corporate compliance/risk management/safety standards, displays an open-minded attitude, establishes priorities, conceptualizes, and organizes time and resources to accomplish the job
Uses creativity/innovation in carrying out responsibilities/introducing new ideas or programs; adapts traditional methodologies in accordance with a changing business environment
Stays current with Medicare and Medicaid regulations applying such to day-to-day operations of the department to maintain corporate compliance
Is knowledgeable of managed care contractual arrangements and EHN charity policies
Responsible for exercising regular and punctual attendance; complies with EHN policies regarding absenteeism and tardiness
Adheres to EHN confidentiality policy which includes verbal, written, computer generated, computer accessed, filmed, and recorded information related to patients, their family and visitors, staff, physicians, and clients. Responsible for the protection of confidentiality of data always
Works in a safe manner and follows all EHN safety requirements
Reports all incidents, near misses, and adverse events
Performs other duties as required

2 years Professional Fee billing experience preferred
IDX / GE Flowcast software experience preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Call center experience preferred
